Ryan Bingham — The Weary Kind

Ryan Bingham is one of those artists who is hard to classify. His IMDB page reads: “Americana/country-folk”. That’s probably correct, but I also hear rock and blues in his songs. So, however he is classified in the record store, he is a very fine and unique artist.

Bingham was born in New Mexico and grew up in Texas. He was a bull rider before he got into music. He is married to Anna Axster. His band is The Dead Horses.

Some of my favorite songs are: Country Roads from Roadhouse Sun, Southside of Heaven from Mescalito, Bread and Water from Mescalito, and The Weary Kind from the soundtrack for the movie, Crazy Heart, starring Jeff Bridges and Maggie Gyllenhaal. Bingham has a role in the movie. He plays Tony.

Ryan Bingham’s songs are certainly worth your entertainment time and money.
